It is quite rare for Jake and I to start our day with no plans. We usually have at least one outing on the agenda everyday. But this day I decided we would just go where the day led.
We started out with some puzzle time. Jake got lots of puzzles for Christmas and he LOVES them. He is getting pretty good at actually putting them together now too!
It was a stormy day so this mopey dog followed us everywhere. Prissy hates storms!
Then Jake noticed the pack and play that was set up in my room. We had it set up for a super fun, all afternoon play date he had with his BFF who took a fabulous 3 hour nap here! Jake thought it was pretty fun...
He cought up on some reading...
tought his buddies a thing or two...
and he was done...
Then just when I started to feel boredom setteling in we got a call from my dad saying he was passing through town and did we want to catch some lunch. PERFECT! Jake enjoyed seeing his Paw Paw and his "Big Truck"!
Since we were already out I couldnt resist a stroll through Target...the dollar section is a little slice of heaven! Jake scored a few books and these glasses....
And while we were at it...why not drop in on some friends! I think these two look like they are about 12 in this picture.
Then it was NAP TIME!!! And before we knew it Daddy was home from work....what a couple of studs!
And finally we met up with some of Jake's favorite people...Emmie and Greggie (Emilie and Greg) for a little Mexican fiesta dinner!
then it was back to our house for a little post-dinner hang out time. Greggie and Jake listened to the AU baseball game on Greg's fancy little device.
Wow! For a day with nothing planned we sure did have a lot of fun. Note to self...everyday does not have to have a plan!!
